Responsibilities
Application Software Engineer who can understand unique problems and create innovative solutions. Applicants must be able to work constructively in a team environment and participate in coordinated problem solving efforts with an emphasis on quality work. Develop new functionality on our existing software products.
o Use initiative and creativity to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision.
o Participate in a rapid, agile development schedules.
Qualifications:
o .Net, Java, C+
programming knowledge
o Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Math or a related area
o Solid understanding of object-oriented design
o Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
o Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
o Ability to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
o Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail oriented,responsible team player, and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
Desired
o .NET, C#, or Java experience
o Microsoft or Java certifications are a plus
o Experience with MS SQL, MySQL, or Oracle Databases
o Experience with SQL a plus
All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; candidates with an active U.S. Government security clearance preferred
Education and Experience
Completion of two (2) years Bachelor's degree coursework in software engineering, computer science, applied math or other related technical discipline.
Must be enrolled in third or fourth year of a college degree program. Limited or no prior professional experience is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Fundamental theoretical knowledge of technical
engineering principles, concepts, and techniques in specific discipline as required for the position.
Ability to learn and to use basic standard business applications software and specialized engineering software.
Ability to work on problems of fundamental scope and complexity and to apply knowledge to various learning and developmental projects.
Ability to research and analyze data and develop recommendations or resolve problems.
Fundamental knowledge of basic engineering analysis tools.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals and reports. Ability to
define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to effectively demonstrate team member competencies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
