Part-Time Maintenance Worker (Parking Garage) - $16.
00/HourHours are Thursday - Monday from 6:
30am-11:
30am.
Days off are Tuesday and Wednesday.
Must be able to work holidays, including religious holidays, as required.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOBUnder general supervision, performs work in the cleaning, maintenance, and repair of the City's parking garage.
This work includes plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, window and door repair and replacement, fencing, drywall roofing, signage, tile and flooring, concrete, block, and stucco work, and custodial duties.
Performs a variety of tasks involving significant physical effort.
Operates power tools and mechanical cleaning equipment.
Performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment requiring some manipulative skills.
Employee will report to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION Empty trash containers and replace liners.
Pick up trash in the facility and around the perimeter.
Sweep and/or blow off floors, ramps, and all other local areas.
Performs routine cleaning and sanitizing of all areas of parking garage, including corridors, elevators, stairways, windows, doors, and restrooms (which may include bodily fluids such as urine and fecal matter.
Pressure wash all levels of parking garage, stairwells, and exterior surfaces.
Clean all spills or leaks and remove any standing water.
Perform general plumbing repairs on toilets, urinals, showers, and maintain and clear drains of debris.
Perform general electrical repairs such as:
replace light switches, outlets, ballasts, LED drivers etc.
Install new lighting as required and troubleshoot any other electrical issues that may occur.
Painting Fence repair and maintenance Hanging and general repair and patching of drywall Light concrete and block work Light carpentry Employee is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and reporting any repair needs in the parking garage.
Requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods, often under hot and humid environmental conditions.
Must follow Safety Procedures which include PPE and other Safety requirements based on the job.
Follow all infection control practices including hand washing techniques.
Must deal with City staff and general public in a positive and professional way.
This is a part-time position ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONSPerforms other related work as required.
May be requested to work during a declared emergency and may be requested to work during an undeclared emergency or in the aftermath of an event associated with a declared emergency.
On an incident-by-incident basis, the employee's department head or designee will make the determination when the employee will be requested to work.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEGraduation from high school with vocational training in carpentry and/or building trades, and 1 to 2 years of experience in building trades construction and maintenance; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Must have and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.
